  3. Can you just imagine Tania's anxiety level here??? For all she knows, any time he picks up a newspaper he's likely to see his name listed as "wanted". It's got to be eating her up inside...

(BTW, can you be more specific about where you are in the book? I'm about halfway through, so I'm trying to be SUPER CAREFUL about not accidentally posting spoilers in my comments here. How about a chapter/section title? I'm always trying to guess which "%" you're talking about, but I don't want to make a mistake. Math is NOT my strong suit! lol)

  4. I'm nearing the end, and I about had a panic attack last night as I was reading. I literally felt sick to my stomach (I swear I'm not a drama queen!), but had to push through the really bad parts despite feeling like I was going to throw up.

I'm sure those of you who have finished know the part I'm referring to here.

  7. Hildy,
I think you mean "therapy session".

  9. I am on page 489, which I believe is one of the throw up areas referred to above. I was almost late leaving for work today trying to get some RESOLUTION, but had to leave. I feel AWFUL.

You just have to know that with people who are sooooooo passionate and who have been through such devestation and loss, their life is never going to be peaceful.

  13. I, too, thought TSG was better than T and A but it was a very painful journey. I wish I could say more to those who are finishing, to help ease your minds. Unfortunately we'll have to wait until Carol is finished. I can't wait to read the rest of her thoughts about the book.

I do remember being emotionally exhausted but then I reread it immediately. It was very different upon second read. I understood Alexander much better the second time through.

  14. I thought TSG was the hardest of the books to get through. It was so REAL. Not that their other experiences weren't horrific but none of us can really relate to them but we can relate more to being a regular old married couple in the USA and what kinds of issues you go through over the years. She definitely is a wonderful storyteller.

Carol, I'll be curious to see where you rank these amongst your other books that you love. The are a close 2nd to Outlander for me and Outlander is pretty much tied with Harry Potter. I don't think I could chose. :)
